Crosscut Treework were called out to a local school due to a large limb snapping off a neighbours Totara tree and landing on the school gymnasium. The branch was dismantled off the roof of the building using ropes to avoid further damage to building. Once the branch was removed, it was clear the tree was unstable and had to be removed.
The tree was sectionally dismantled using rigging techniques to avoid damage to house. All the brush was chipped and went to the school. Fortunately, there was two decent logs in the stem which were kept and milled. The owner of the tree now has a lovely Totara bookcase made from this tree.
